No Parking Thursday on 15th Street?

Was just walking home down 15th enjoying the delicious gelato from the new place on 16th Street by the liquor store and I saw some fellow stapling signs that said "No Parking Thursday" to the trees on the south side of the street.

So if your car is there, it might get moved. 15th Street isn't in the "alternate side freeze zone" but it's a Monday/Tuesday street, so if you parked your car there on Tuesday, you might think you're safe for a week.

I'm not sure what the signs are for, but I think it's kind of crappy that they put up signs at 8:30 pm on Wednesday night to say there is no parking on Thursday. And this is on top of the signs that say "No Parking Saturday".

Sorry, it was between PPW and 8th avenue. Brooklynpotter, you are right, there are signs for the Saturday no-parking too but he was stapling these that said "No Parking Thursday" above the Saturday signs. He had put up a couple and when I saw him he was stapling one up on the tree right in front of the building that had the facade collapse awhile back. Hopefully nobody is getting towed/relocated. Am at work now so haven't seen what the street looks like so far today. Have you by chance seen any cars being forcibly moved?

I just think it stinks that they can put up these signs with such little notice. Granted, I've been enjoying the parking holiday for the past few weeks (with a choice spot on 13th St!) but even when I have to move the car, I could easily go a few days without seeing it. More notice would be great, but I guess then people might tend to rip the signs down.

Wow, sadly, this does not shock me. I feel like, more often than not, the person stapling those things up is a moron. I've seen them staple to a side of a tree that was away from the curb, so, you really would never see it.
If they tow you, do you pay or do they just move your car to some other street and make you wander around thinking it was stolen?
