No parking on 6th street on Saturday
new2hood
There's a block party on Saturday on 6th Street either between 5th and 6th or 6th and 7th (I can't remember which). So, if your car's parked there, you'll need to move it. Sorry I can't remember which block it is.

bluecatBesides the usual "no parking - block party" signs every tree & lamp post has a warning that cars will be towed. Is this the first block party since alt-parking rules were suspended? Has the city been towing parked cars? -

I believe I saw some block parties farther north in the Slope the past couple weekends.
Towing cars when parking is banned for a block party, parades, etc., is nothing new. Keep in mind that the alt-parking rules are just that: a suspension of alternate-side enforcement only. No reason they can't tow you for a violation that is not about alternate-side street cleaning. -

daverDo you get a ticket for that tow though? I thought those ones were just to the "nearest available legal space." -

You may be right; I only know that they tow. In any event, I walked by there Saturday and there were several untowed cars on the block during the party. -
