When will I move up in rank? Is there a certain amount of post you have to post in order to change that status?

    Yes, a certain amount of posts. The exact amount is a secret.

    Actually, I'm too lazy to look it up.

    This might help: You can manually change your rank from "Newbie" to whatever you want by editing your profile page (see the "YOUR PAGE" drop-down menu above in the Brooklynian page header)
