Lefferts between Rogers and Bedford?

There is a gas station on the corner, fast food nearby, a diner on the corner of Rogers and Lefferts and an abandoned roller skating rink along the block. I am pretty sure there is a club nearby, as well as a discount liquor store and Western Beef is a block away. I am not sure if all this is directly in between Bedford and Rogers, but it is all definitely close by. What exactly do you want to know about the area?

Bessie, you are describing the commercial zone that is Empire Blvd, not Lefferts.

Lefferts is a few blocks south of that and is a totally residential street with houses and apartment buildings, and some small retail/beauty/food places around the corner on Rogers Ave.

whoa, thanks for catching that. i ride my bike in that area and got my streets mixed up. oops!

Just curious, was going to look at an apt there but it didn't work out. Thanks for the info. Most looking to know if this block/area is safe (self-defined). I am looking for an area with friendly neighbors and less gunshots/murders/muggings than by most recent apt.
