Yea, I wanted to see it yesterday but my wife was so tired from cleaning the house while I was at work. Hopefully she will be up to it today.

This movie has what I think is the best rottentomatoes rating I've ever seen, 96%!

Haven't seen it yet. Supposedly ranks up there with all other Pixar movies.

Saw it with the little guys. Wasn't the best ever, but it was all right fo shure. Spent the next day trading, "WAAAAAAAAAAAALLL-EEEEEEEEEEEE" and "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVAAAHH" back and forth.

absolutely loved it......maybe even better than Ratatoille, and that's one of my favorite movies ever.

    I agree, J0518.

Though parts of the end were awfully sad.....i soaked a paper towel and several Kleenex. I'm historically un-tough at the movies.

haven't seen it but I'm disappointed to hear the robot is not the animated version of Number 5 from Short Circuit.

    "Number 5 is alive!"

I was alternately laughing and almost crying watching the movie. I notoriously hate most animated 'kids' movies - that nemo thing was just annoying. and the rat one just wouldn't work for me b/c I'm allergic to eggplant so blech blech blech. but I was shocked & surprised by the awesome of wall-e. I was expecting to be all "yeah, I told you guys I wanted to see wanted!" but instead found myself laughing hysterically and then getting all emo.

and I'm thinking that maybe part of the awesome was the lack of dialogue, esp at the beginning. I really like quiet when used effectively. kinda like no country for old men - great use of quiet.

    I agree completely.

The lack of dialogue in the beginning reminded me more of There Will Be Blood.

It was pretty good. Better first half than second half.

Best thing was the Looney Tunes inspired short that precedes it.

oh. I was thinking more about the spaces between horrendous murders in NCFOM. and the beginning - the finding of the bodies, etc. fabulous contrast. and wall-e did something good with that. not better but still.

I also love the Peter Gabriel song during the closing credits. Very Elliot Smith-ish.
