4th Fireworks in PP?

I'm sure this is a dumb question, but are their fireworks in Prospect Park for the 4th? It's my first summer in PS....

Walk down to the Heights, you can see the macy's one there.

Yes, there are. I see them from my windows every year.

whew. kid asleep, beer on the back deck, fireworks over my head is a much easier option for me.

Hmmmm.......maybe it's just NYE? I swore I saw them from PP before

They have a few things listed on the website (prospectpark.org) during the day for the 4th, but nothing at night, and no fireworks. FWIW.

They do new years eve fireworks there, maybe your thinking of those?

I'm pretty sure there are always fireworks around GAP every year. They aren't shot up nearly as high as the Macy's ones so they are often harder to see. I'm on my roof in north slope between 5/6th and can barely see them, but they are there.

They set off fireworks last year (June 2nd) , from Mt. Prospect Park that you go watch from Prospect Park. I remember cuz I went. Then they played a movie in the park "Close encounters of the third kind". This year they were gonna play "ET" , but it said "postponed indefinitely due to the poor weather forecast." No mention of fireworks though.
