wow! how random! thanks for posting.

Was that an actual parade? I've lived in the area for several years and don't recall seeing a procession like that on PPW.

I was living in Windsor Terrace at the time that video was shot, but I have no memory of even hearing about it back then. I think Alanis Morissette is a lesbian or bisexual, so I’m guessing that was the gay pride parade.

I do however remember watching when they filmed movies like Smoke, Blue in the Face, and As Good as it Gets in Windsor Terrace. But Dog Day Afternoon was filmed before I was born.

They used a small group as a marching band to give an appearance of a parade and people from the neighborhood were recruited to be the crowd watching the parade.

The rain was created by using a pipe with water sprouting in the air, giving the appearance of rain.

Dog day was shot on PPW between 17th & 18th st. The location is now a co-op.

There was a movie called Angie (starring Geena Davis) in which the opening scene was filmed on Fuller pl in Windsor Terrace, but in the movie it was suppose to be Bensonhurst.

Scenes from Donnie Brasco were shot in the 8th ave. Armory and on occasion Michael Madsen and Johnny Depp would stop in Circles for lunch and liquid refreshments.

I remember when they filmed Donnie Brasco in Park Slope. As well as Malcolm X, Age of Innocence, Awakenings, Die Hard 3, the Royal Tenenbaums, Duplex, Mona Lisa Smile, the War of the Worlds remake, and tons of others. But those are all Park Slope, not Windsor Terrace.

The only other movie I can think of to add to the Windsor Terrace list is a movie called Pollock.

I guess now we could add I Hate Valentine’s Day to the list of movies shot in Windsor Terrace. It’s coming soon.
