Crazy Lady who eats kids @ JJ Byrne??

Whats the story with the (clearly disturbed and handicapped) lady at JJ Byrne with the doll? She is there all day and harrass the kids by following them around and sort of trying to eat them (you kinda have to see it to believe it).

I feel sorry for her and she obviously needs help (even though somebody must be taking to and from the park - cause she cant possibly do it herself)
but she is also scary as all hell and is harassing to kids who just want to play. (trust me if you saw her, you'd know there is no way for kids to ignore or even understand her behavior)

Anyone know what the deal is?

I heard she once impersonated a Park Slope girl's sick grandmother and tried to eat the kid during a visit. Another time, she found these kids that were lost in Prospect Park and tried to fatten them up to eat them by feeding them all sorts of organic snacks from the Food Co-op. Thanks -- it's about time someone brought this menace to the community's attention.

The deal is that she's crazy. What other "deal" would there be, exactly?

I remember reading a story similar to this years ago - something about an old woman in the woods who fattens than eats the kids - this sounds so much like it :roll:

Yeah, I know exactly who you are talking about, I see her at the park all the time. never heard any of this 'eating kids" stuff though. I just keep myself and my kids away from her.

Tex - "deal" as in situation, as in - maybe someone knows more than me (and you)and could say something like -

"yeah she lives....and I know her family and she is harmless, well cared for, etc....."

or maybe

"yeah, she just gets dumped there by a nurse who is caring for her - who then goes to get drunk at the Gate, she is dangerous....I once saw her punch a 3 year old in the head and then stick her fingers in the kids a$$ behind the old stone house etc..."

Sorry Tex seems like a legitimate question given the situation, albeit maybe not as scintillating as the "why cant I drink wine in Prospect Park" or the "Anyone else have itchy mosquito bite" threads, but still, can every thread be THAT interesting and relevant??????????

Re eating kids - I knew it had to be metaphoric because everybody knows that eating PS kids is banned because of the trans fat content.

I go to JJ Byrne about every 2 weeks while I await the phone call from SPC that my table is ready.

If you read the responses you would see that i said i go there and know the lady and I just keep myself and my kids away from her. I have never seen nor heard her do anything like what you are stating. this is NYC, there are mentally ill people around-and they go outside, it's just part of life.
