Wire Snubbed at the Emmys... only 1 nomination...

ok... I am not sure how many people out there are fans of HBOs the Wire. But if you are a fan I am sure your shocked that yet again the Wire is snubbed and only received 1 nomination (the same about that Hannah Montana received) ... especially in there last season...

award shows are assholes. heck, if I can win an oscar pool because I'm the only one that votes bourne for all of the technical awards because I have a strange obsession with a singular scene in one movie (the morocco chase scene culminating in the bathroom fight scene), award shows are not based on taste.

We watched the last season, then went back and started from the beginning with Netflix.

i borrowed season one from a friend the other month and i seriously must have watched it 3 times. damn, i'm gonna see if blockbuster has season two when i get home from work. i'm fiendin' like bubs.

That's crazy - The Wire, IMHO, was the best show ever - period. The acting was amazing - the whole series just hooks you in. I'm very sorry to hear that this production and the actors involved in it are not being given the recognition they deserve. Makes you wonder how they determine which shows are nominated??

The Wire is the greatest show ever made, and possibly the greatest piece of work ever produced with a moving image medium (that includes you Citizen Kane and all your cronies), particularly season 4.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised it was snubbed again.
