Warning
steve austin
If you live on either Park Place or Prospect Place between Washington and Underhill prepare yourself for a sleepness night. The house on Park between Washington and Underhill with the absurdly loud speakers just began another outdoor party.
I don't want to again debate the merits of keeping one's neighbors awake so that one can impress their friends with the volume of their party. Just wanted to give a heads up.
May be a good night to head out and see a late showing of Dark Knight.

doctorjLet's hope they keep it funky. -
obamanutI wish my neighbors here in Park Slope showed some similar sign of life. Nowadays I think a desolate New Jersey cul de sac sees more action than my street. -
nomad??? Is that our city councilwoman Leticia James speaking now? I thought I heard her just get introduced...!
Anyway, I know it's intrusive (i.e. noisy), but it sounds like a fun party! -
steve austinLast year there was live jazz and it started off fine enough. But then when they are playing late 90s hits like Montell Jordan's "This is how we do it" at 2 am it gets annoying. Just wait and see.
By the way, the band playing right now completely blows. -

They are the classic "wedding band" variety - no denying that. -
thisoneTonight sucks on St. Johns between Underhill and Washington too. Super loud music from the courtyard between St. Johns and Lincoln buildings. This + the fireworks going off from the Lincoln rooftop last night = why I hate summer in this neighborhood. -
steve austinAgreed. But if the event is neither a wedding nor a Ba' Mitzvah [sp?], why would you hire a cover band? Was there a sale or something? You could probably get a decent local band, like a The Hold Steady for $2,000 and unlimited alcohol. And weed.
I know for a fact that when bands play at small local venues they sometimes get less. -
alafairnadiaI love my apartment. but I just got home from listening to megadeth and bauhaus in CH so. um.
in any case, is the shit shut down yet? I can't hear anything here. -

Not me. If I want a party I've always been able to find one, I don't need it imposed by my neighbors. -

Well, according to VH1 Greatest Hits of the '90s, Jordan is coming out with a new album! -
