Read threads not staying marked as read&qu

...this has been going on for a few days with me. Using XP and Firefox 5.

Two different scenarios:

1) I read all of the threads, and go back to board listings and there are still "new posts" marked, even if I hit "mark all read"

2) all threads marked "read" and stay that way for a while and then some posts that are old appear with a new post icon.


WTF? HALP!

Log out, then log back in.

Alternatively, log in with another browser (other than Firefox).

That may cause all sorts of space-time continuum problems in and of itself.

Already logged in and out a few times.

Eh. Whatever. I'll live with it

daver is right - it may be a cacheing issue.

Try this:

Navigate away from Brooklynian
Go to Tools
Select Clear Private Data
Make sure Cache and Authenticated Sessions are checked
Click "Clear Private Data Now"

I usually log out then back in when I get this problem. Of course then it starts fresh with everything up to that point read.
