favorite local live music? and where?

now, what do you all like in or close to prospect heights? or any music coming through the 'hood soon?

a few weeks ago there was some great music at barette. it was the first time they ever hosted live music, some really tight bluegrass type band followed by an amazing jazz trio. was great, i hope they keep it up, not sure if it was just a one time thing. tea lounge in park slope has good live music buts it a bit of a hike from us.

bristen's (franklin near st johns) has been having awesome jazz brunch on sundays, with a trio led by lafayette harris. it's not every weekend, so call if you want to be sure.
