 A big welcome home for me! I just started a vacation in LA and right now we had an earthquake

http://www.knbc.com/news/17024374/detail.html?dl=mainclick

The whole house was swaying back and forth. I ran to a doorway and began to scream out the obvious, "Oh my god, were having an earthquake!"

So far nothing of too much value was damaged. Anyways, holla to my hommies back in Brooklyn!! :alien:

Greetings from east LA!!

nice. I'm pretty sure that's textbook procedure in an earthquake.

holy shit! glad you're ok. I'm terrified of earthquakes - was in the DF right after the big one in the early 80s. every freaking building that was still standing was reinforced like mad. and the hotel my family always used to stay at had collapsed, killing the front desk guy, etc. my dad knew them all by name and was pretty traumatized about it. ugh. so scary.

You better move to Colorado ...

I stayed away for years because of a fear of the earthquakes. Business forced me to go and earthquakes greeted me. Prolly the same ones alafairnadia is referring. Oh what a feeling. Came back to BK and experienced one here. Researched and discovered NY is on a fault line.

All in all, earthquakes in CA right now is not a good thing. They have been predicting the big one for many many years now. I fear it may soon come. Some research I have read states that a major part of CA is floating on the Pacific and could indeed fall of into the ocean from a major shift.

Good luck out there. Get yourself a pet if you don't have one and stay close to them. If they start bugging and want to break out, you'd better listen and do the Hollywood Shuffle outta there.

See this is what happens when I leave brooklyn!

BTW Carnivore: Tommy's now makes a chili cheese breakfast burger: eggs, hash, sausage patty, chili and cheese on an english muffin. Might be worth going through an earthquake for.

I thought that already happened in 1978, but a guy in a red cape and tights spun the planet backwards to put it all right again. Is he still on the FEMA payroll?
