Does anyone know how to go about finding a roomate besides using craigslist?? I have a 2 bedroom on state street and really want to attract potential roomates who already live in Brooklyn. And, Craigslist just sketches me out.

Any advice/ direction is much appreciated!

Thanks!

I actually highly recommend Craigslist. Got great roomies from it every time. No need to be sketched out. Bums usually don't have computers.

i actually found my roommate from craigslist. it isnt that bad. besides, always check and visit the place first before making a deal, including meeting the potential roommates. if you dont feel comfortable with them, then find another one.

otherwise, find your (existing) friends who are looking for a place too, and move in together. that way, at least you know who they are.

How much would the rent be for the potential roommate? I'm looking to move, and I'm curious.

I have a friend looking for a roommate. I would consider renting my co-op apt to her she's so reliable, responsible and stable. I'm also very curious to know more details so I can put you in contact with her.
