FYI about Wingate Field concerts:
You have to get there pretty early and the police presence is over-the-top. It's definitely not the same vibe as the Prospect Park or Central Park shows.

The security at the concerts changed about 5 - 6 years back. It used to be a little more relaxing, not the same as the Seaside concerts, but still more laid back then it is now. Still an enjoyable Monday evening, if you enjoy the entertainment.

Anybody go? How was it?

I didn't make it to Erykah but I will try tomorrow for Jill Scott. She's amazing live.
Any idea if I can take a bike to this place? I've been there years ago and remember the police and the crowds, and I could have sworn I saw someone with a bike as well.
