There was a WNBC copter above Cambridge/Fulton yesterday around 11:00 a.m. for quite a while - never found out what was going on.

They had cops going (through the motions) door to door around that time yesterday. Apparently a five year old kid was abducted around Fulton and Grand.

The cops showed up at my place yesterday around 11 AM. I was told that a 5 year old boy named ( I forget) was abducted and asked if I had seen anything. I asked to see a pic of the child, but they had none. I asked if they had any further information and they replied that again, they had none.

So lemme get this straight- the police were going door to door asking if anyone had seen a five year old boy at any point that morning? Erm... that's some crack police work going on there. I think I must've seen somewhere in the realm of 12-15 boys that morning that might have been in that age range.

Stupefying is the word that comes to mind.

I am going to assume from their lackluster interrogation that they were going door to door looking/listening for a five year old? They told me they'd receivied a cell phone call from the area.

    It all seemed rather hopeless.

Well, maybe. But they didn't even come to the door- they rang the doorbell on the garden floor and I answered from the parlor floor, so our conversation took place with me on the stoop and him on the sidewalk- not the best vantage point if one's trying to get a sense of what's doing inside.

I hope they find that child and he is safe and unharmed. I wonder if there'll be more info available soon- if I had a pic of him I could at least be on the lookout. So, so very sad.
