Whats a good place to adpot a dog?

a friend of mines is looking to adpot a puppy. anywhere in nyc.

Check petfinder.com - they list shelter doggies (and photos) from all over the country. You can search by breed, age, sex and location to narrow your search. That's how we found our purebred Jack Russell - she was at a small shelter in Jersey. Definitely a great website/ resource.
