I heard Verizon Wireless is taking the space even though they have space up the block next to where Biscuit used to be. Seems that we will be well served when it comes to mobile phones.

Actually, the Verizon space by the former Biscuit was vacated about 2-ish months ago.

    Regardless: nooooooooo!

Ugh, ugh, ugh. Even a bank would be preferable.

Actually, since the place on Flatbush closed, I was hoping for a replacement Verizon store in the area (besides the Atlantic mall). I only really go once every 2 years, but it's handy to have it nearby when that time comes. And honestly, that will be more often than I went into that antique store (only went once to get something notarized).

I am really disappointed that they destroyed the really nice window bays. Erggh. Unfortunately, the building is not landmarked.

i hate the atlantic mall verizon store, too, but i'd rather have to go there every two years than have another ugly phone store where there could be something else. i don't need a convenient location for such an occasional trip.

We can only hope that someday soon all of these retail mobile-phone stores will go the way of the land-line phone stores from the 70s and 80s. Remember those?

Ha! I remember going to the Bell Telephone store at the Junction to trade in our rental rotary dial phone.
