Subject: The Randy Bandits (at Hank's Saloon this Saturday)

This band is the real thing. And I don't mean some loud, can't even hear the lyrics, cynical, overly serious, ironic, or self-aggrandizing group of negative crapheads. It's actually a really good band. It's a little The Band, a little Kinks, a little Cole Porter, a dash of Jacque Brel, some Curtis Mayfield, and a whole heaping of Love (not the band, the act and feeling).

The new album is coming out on Feb. 14th. Nice long two-set concert at Hank's Saloon (46 on 3rd and Atlantic) this Saturday at 9pm. Opening band is swell--and their name is Swell Mob. No cover. $2 beers.

Give a shout if you believe in the Bandits!
