black cat with tags in prospect park

hi - while walking my dogs this morning in the park i was startled by a little black cat sitting just inside a fenced wooded area east of the meadowport arch (the tunnel crossing under the west road) near long meadow. the cat was small and all black and had a heart-shaped red tag on its collar. unfortunately i could not get close enough to read the tags, but this is obviously a domesticated cat, not a feral. if you know of anyone who is looking for a little black cat, please spread the word.

just saw this cat in the same area--it came towards me until it saw my dog. From what I could see, it had big dangly red tags and looked okay. I'm guessing maybe it's an outside cat that roams to the park for some rodent action.
