Subject: what's up with Living Room Lounge?

i know there was some discussion on the PS board about people wanting to pull its liquor license. it's been closed for the last week or so....anyone know what's up?

That's kinda sad, why?

HUGE amount of complaints from the neighbors...noise, fights, drunk & disorderly citations. They have not been a good neighbor, despite the interesting space.

I'd blame the ownership, which is supposedly 5 fold. They are also having burlesque and live music w/o a cabaret license, not that it would be hard for them to get one with their proximity to 5th Ave.

Could have been nice, now it's just a PITA.

gosh. i went there the first night it opened i think. we sort of stumbled over there vaguely. my friends lived off the 25th st stop and i had no idea where i was in brooklyn! in retrospect that was a really nice inexpensive apartment.
in any case, it seemed like a big "funky" (i hate the word funky, but that is the only way to really describe it) space and eventually went back last year for burlesque. i think that little smokers' air shaft thing must irritate the neighbors. wouldn't be surprised!
