bicycle parking/storage

I just moved to St Marks at 5th Ave and my apartment is a little too cramped to keep my bike there. It's doable, but I'm willing to pay a little extra per month to store my bike someplace nearby. Unfortunately the basement of my building is off-limits. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Before you spend any money - if you have high ceilings - - and maybe a hall or a foyer - - and are handy or know someone who is - - you might want to try hanging your bike from the ceiling - - we have hooks that my husband drilled into a board that is attached to the ceiling in our hallway and the bikes hang there. There are also bike hooks that can be attached to the wall.

Keeping the bike somewhere else can be risky and inconvenient if you need ti right away.

Anyway, just a thought, good luck with that.
