What's the story with this block? The corner of Pacific and Nostrand, as my friend put it, is "hot" -- lots of cops patrolling which is better than in north Bed Stuy where we have no cops apparently.

Anyone live here?

    It is true.

The whole area is a ghost town.

I live around the corner on New York. Seems fine to me though Dean and Bergen are nicer. That said I don't think it's too bad though I don't have much of a reason to walk down it, just because of where I am. That said, the A train is a real close walk along with Super Foodtown and a 24 hour laundromat.

What do you mean ghost town? I thought it was filled with drug peddling and police officers?

    Where is Startlight again?

I know a couple of people on that block. They are closer to the NY end and don't seem to have a lot of complaints. There is a new condo (co-op?) project going up in the lot that was the back of the former halal meat market, and overall I think that folks find the block to be okay.
