Allegedly there is a greenmarket just inside the park entrance every wednesday from 8am-3pm. I say allegedly because I am always at work during those hours and have never seen it.

has anyone ever been?

good prices?

Fine prices but limited selection because there are at most two vendors.

The main guy has apples and apple products, baked goods, veggies like broccoli and zucchini, tomatoes, peaches and berries in season, corn, hanging plants, and soon pumpkins.

The smaller vendor carries Mexican stuff -- a variety of peppers, herbs like cilantro, some veggies.

Yes, and I keep asking for a late market so I can stop on the way home. The reponce from Grennmarkets is alway that there are some markets open late. Unfortunatly that down't matter because when they open early everyone is gone

WHn I visit Ohio the week day marketrs open at 4 and close at 6

it isn't a myth (well the saturday thing is). i see it there every wednesday morning (including today) on my way to the F train but haven't been to it, also because of work. it does look small but i'd love to check it out eventually.

The wednesday market has some nice baked goods and cider, so stop by on your way to the train!

(But only for another month, sad to say.)
