Rogers Ave Crown St

So before we sign any lease on that potentially sketchy Eastern Parkway apartment, I want to look at other options.

How's this neck of the woods? Rogers Ave and Crown Street has an apartment I want to check out.

Miles better than the Portal option.

You'll be pretty close to Medgar Evers (CUNY). The neighborhood is mostly single family houses and many of those blocks are fairly quiet. I'm usually over there on the weekends so I don't know what the vibe is like during the week, but I'd definitely look at that as an option.

I just moved a few weeks ago to Bedford and Crown and have to say the neighborhood is pretty much filled with families and crawling with students during the day.

I think this area is 500x better than Eastern and Portal. The only problem in this area is Ebbets Field (1700 Bedford).

So glad that you are listening to reason...Bedford and Crown is a much better area that Eastern and Portal. Much safer. Don't take a chance with your safety.

That's also much, much better for transportation to the city and walking distance from all the cool stuff on Franklin Ave. Not too familiar with CH south of Eastern Parkway but seems alright those times I go to the President St. subway.

Come to think of it I did actually look at an apartment a block away from there. I liked it a lot but didn't work out for financial reasons.

I think this would be a good move. And seriously now's the time to move here; in two years or so rents will be through the roof in CH.
