Manhattanites long for a 1 bedroom in Ft. Greene under 2k

You can say that I've seen the light. After living in Manhattan for only a year, I'm pretty much over it. So now comes the hard part. I've given into the idea that I most likely won't be saving a ton of money. However, what I am after is more space and a better lifestyle.

So we spent a weekend around Ft. Greene, and Christ, we saw butterflies, like actual butterflies (PLURAL) fluttering around, people at the farmers' market noshing on farm fresh produce, and experienced direct sunlight. So, yeah, I'm all about it.

Here's the thing - is it even possible to find a decent place in Ft. Greene for under 2k? My research isn't supporting the existence of a nice place in the area that accepts pets (two cats) that isn't a studio, that is either no fee or low fee.

Someone, anyone, help a sister out?!
