hey guys,
I was just in DUMBO and let me tell you, between ABC closing next week, and the West Elm sale, there are deals to be had. I did most of my shopping at West Elm b/c I don't need any furniture and the linens at ABC are kinda pricey. BUT - check them out if you want good stuff for cheap. you know, since we're the POOR version of park slope and all.

It's gonna be a bitch and a half to get there no matter what. Be prepared to walk. The most direct route from here is the 2/3 to Clark and then walking through Cadman Plaza downhill.

Not quite there. It drops you off right in front of the Brooklyn Bridge. Which is close but still a haul.

it's all a haul, and the 2/3 isn't running so you have to get out a borough hall. the closest subway stop is the F but uh. how the hell are you supposed to get on that sucker?
assume you will tredge a bit, and don't be dumb like me and buy sheets, duvet sets and glassware (since I break the stuff like made with my latent alcoholism and inquisitve cat syndrome), forgetting that you'll have to CARRY the shit.:cry::cry::cry:

yeah, irritating. but it is like 50 degrees outside - biking should be too bad.

Thanks for the tip. We just got back (took the car). Got two rugs, and the kids had fun climbing over the piles of carpets.

I like them, but their stuff never looks as good in person as it does in the catalog.
