Best place to buy fresh fish?

hey--I need to buy tuna steaks for Saturday night. Can anyone recommend a good place in Carroll Gardens/Cobble Hill area for this?

Last time I got them at Fish Tales, but that place is a bit pricey--but if you tell me that is the best place to go, I will bite the bullet and get them there...

Fish Tales is by far the best place for seafood in the area, but yeah it is a bit pricey. There's another seafood store on Court Street near Carroll which is okay, not nearly the selection as Fish Tales has - might save you a couple bucks but probably not much. I would just go to Fish Tales.

The seafood guy at the farmers' market on Sundays (when Fish Tales, incidentally, is closed) is good. I bought some delicious sea scallops from him.

Maybe not as good as Fish Tales, but the Fish Market on Court near President is just fine and the counter woman is very, very nice.

I'm with ckdexter. it's the cleanest fish store I've ever seen. Everything we've ever gotten from them has been perfect. And they even give you a lemon on the way out.
