Homage by Franklin is supposed to have kickass burgers and I think they deliver as well as Bombay (an Indian place on Franklin). I don't have they're numbers but I'm sure they wouldn't be too hard to find on this site or the general interwebs.

    And welcome to the neighborhood!

Homage tastes like frozen pre-made patties to me. I wouldn't eat another one of their burgers for free.

Teddy's has a pretty diverse menu and fast delivery. I'm still upset about their price increases, but a decent delivery service.

I actually prefer Chavella's delivery opposed to eating there.

Taqueria De Los Muertos is a new place that is going to give Chavella's a run for their money.

And I know you said no pizza, but this is to let everyone know that the new brick oven pizza place on Nostrand is really good. They seem to be improving and adding new things on a daily basis. I'm just still waiting for the gelato. :)

Also, Billy's is a pizzaria on Bedford near the college that also serves pasta, sandwiches, salads, etc. They deliver to this side of EP regularly and have pretty decent fare.

Hunan Wok on 7th Ave will deliver chinese if you want the fancier stuff. If you are looking for just the corner chinese place go with Tak Hing on Fulton and New York/Marcy

thank you for posting, homeowner. i just ordered chinese from tak hing and it was pretty damn good! (i.e., regular chinese food delivery, thankfully not nasty)

wow, thanx u guys.. i ended up going with bombay on franklin, but i'm glad there are many more options than the tatsu sushi place my roomies said to order from..ugh... Neways, the food from bombay was decent, the samosa's were real good, but my chxn vindaloo lacked seasoning and they forgot my naan... not sure i'll order delivery from them again, but in anycase i'm not going to bed on an empty stomach so it's all good...

I liked homages burgers! The fries were a little vague though.

When I had Homage I thought my burger was out this world. Fries were okay, nothing out of this world but good enough. I'm definitely getting food from them again.

it's kind of crazy that menupages lumps all of brooklyn together and you can't search restaurants by area. thanks for the recommendations, dapearl, nirdgirl, homeowner-- i would never have known about all of these places. if i find anything else, i'll post it here.

    .

    You mad.

Teddy's went from stupid retard cheap to just retarded cheap.

    And the portions are huge.

Whoelsale for everything have gone up. A man's gotta make a living.

$6 for a gyro that's a meal and a half is not going to break you but will keep a neighborhood treasure open.

Apparently, Cheffy's West Indian delivers (and has carry-out and dine in)

There's no menu online but the online description of their offerings sounds delicious. Anyone have one--or has anyone been there and have recommendations?

Cafe Shane also delivers. Haven't been there either:

And this has been mentioned in another thread, but so does the Japanese restaurant Gen:

Cafe Shane is really good. Had brunch there a couple weeks back. I wonder how far their delivery radius is though. I'm a bit of a ways away from them at New York and Bergen.

Cafe Shane "says" they deliver, but rarely have a person in house that will do delivery and we lived a block over from them on Classon. Its a crap shoot with them.

Mr. Wonton's on 7th and Berkeley will deliver to CH. Their Chinese food is awsome and I never have to second guess if the chicken is really chicken.

    El Gran Castillo on Flatbush

I am not sure what their delivery area is but their rotisserie chicken and fried pork chops are my all time favorites.
