Does anyone know of a great (not too expensive) salon in the area?

Dana at Hair Concern - 7th Ave near 3rd Street (upstairs).

The salon has been there forever, but I never noticed it until somebody from this board recommended her.

I can't remember how much a haircut is...maybe $40. Definitely not the $60+ range

I heart Milla at Slope Suds. About $60.

Michael at Michael's Hair Studio (7th Ave between 7th & 8th St.) - Around $40

If you have curly hair, Rudy @ Fez Salon on 5th and 5th and it's around $50

Tons of attitude and passion.
Gives great men's and women's cuts. Regularly cuts my hair, and 4 of our friend's hair (plus 2 of their kids). Between $40 and $60.
