nail clipping - anyone have pedipaws?

I'm curious about this as well. I'm scared to clip puppy nails.

yeah, the clippers that look like a manual hole punch are no fun. It's pretty easy to take too much nail . . .

I know dog show people use a grinder. Do they make these things for human lady nails? I've used sandpaper (on the dogs), but that takes forever to get anywhere.

I know people who use grinders - they say the one you plug in is better than the battery ones as they're more powerful. I think Dremel is the brand - and yeah, I've seen them used in nail salons for acrylics.

When Oscar was little, I used the manual clipper and took too much. He cried, I cried, blood everywhere - never again.

Just commit to the hole punch. I was afraid at first too.

We've got these clippers and a Dremel -- that new gadget is just a grinder with a protective shield. The ad makes it look very easy and quick, but I think it's misleading. You don't grind for more than a few seconds at a time to avoid excessive friction. Actually shortening a nail takes time. (And lots of treats.)

The dog put her teeth on my significant other (more in a hostage-taking move, not a bite)
I appreciated that she really did not want to bite me, but measures had to be taken . . .
