sad to hear they are relocating as the owners were great people and super knowledgable about bikes. but i hope they get some more space in their
new shop as this location was a bit submarine-like.

We wanted to rent their two-person bicycle for our wedding but they would only sell it to us for $3k. Maybe we should pop in to see if they will lower their price...
    They were a great store!

Actually...speaking of...anyone have a bike that we could rent for our wedding? I am not sure that i can handel a true tandem with my dress and all but something like a side-by-side or even a Bella Bike or something like that would be nice.

    Anyone?

When are they moving? I guess that's good motivation for finally getting my bike tire fixed...

bristen's eatery (on franklin between st johns and sterling) has a tandem bike for rent on the weekends. i bet you could talk carlene into renting it to you in advance.

I saw the 'store for rent' sign yesterday and cried inside. That was my bike shop on the way to the park :o(

Are they definately going to park near the bqe? thats not too bad for me actually

I just moved from that corner 2 months ago! Woulda been nice to have this place there. Not that the old location was far or anything but who wouldn't want their local bike shop around the corner? Know which storefront it's moving in to?

Also can get air (for a quarter!) from the BP at Vandy and Atlantic.

I'm not happy to hear this. This was the closest (and coolest) bike shop to me in CH. I'll never make it to the new one- especially if I have a flat and have to walk. [-X :( [-(

flatbush where? at tillary? and dixon's is great but a bit out of the way from pro-ho.

true, and not much further out of the way than bicycle station.

still, the nearby free air was a good thing. and mike's a superlative mechanic.

There's a bike store on 5th Avenue around Sterling (?).
