looking to rent Apt for Nov/ Carroll Gardens/ Cobble $2000

If anyone knows sources to rent an apt with out using a broker- if you know landlords, or buildings (perhaps you've heard of an opening in your own building) I would so appreciate the lead. I'm looking to spend no more than $200 a month for a one or so bedroom apt.
