Celeb Sighting!

oh, this one made me happy....

I just saw Kristen Schaal (aka Mel, the stalker fan) from Flight of the Conchords crossing in front of my car on 7th ave near 12th Street.

I called out "Kristennnnnnnnnnnn!' (I"m a geek) and asked her when FotC is coming back. She said it's returning in January and said thank you and gave me a big wave and continued walking hand in hand with her (cute) boyfriend.

I think she's hysterical and love her guest spots on The Daily Show. Now, if only she can get Jon Stewart to leave his wife and marry me, I might become HER stalker fan :-)

Only in Park Slope is this considered a celebrity sighting....

    No need to be nasty.

(and, btw, I just scratched your name off my list for people to call and pay next time I have furniture to put together (per your previous posts). Nice going!)

I walked past them filming on Greenpoint & Manhattan a few weeks back. saw Jermaine, Rhys (Murray) and Brett. all could tell i obviously knew who they were and smiled and nodded as i did the same. i felt compelled though to tell Brett "ya beard is good". he laughed.

Ha! I'm sure that took some restraint.

I wasn't watching for the first few weeks when it came out, so when I finally started, I did a bit of a marathon.

it took huge restraint, which i just had to give in to. when else would i probably get the chance to do that? im glad he laughed too and didnt think i was just being a douche!

oh, I read that wrong and thought you didn't. Ha!

I don't usually bother people (and I've seen a TON of people), but she seemed very approachable ...and she was.

yea i normally wouldn't but i just had the feeling he wouldn't be the type to get his knickers in a fuss about something like that.

yesterday, just south of union square, i saw tom cruise and suri, walking through a swarm of what must have been two dozen photographers. poor kid -- can't even leave the house for a stroll with her dad without being accosted.

I feel so bad for that kid. She's adorable but isn't allowed to have friends and is going to grow up having such a warped sense of reality

Yes, she is going to be somewhat out of touch, but probably not as out of it as Michael Jackson's kids. You don't hear much about them any more but they've probably had a surreal childhood, too. I feel bad for them.

I've seen lots of Murray, Mel, Jermaine and Brett during the recent filming of FOTC on the Lower East Side. The few times I've stood around to watch (I work on the LES), I've been the ONLY one to do so. So much for their celebrity status on the far east LES!
