Looking to buy plants in Fort Greene/Clinton Hill

We're pretty new to the area and are looking to buy some plants to spruce up our pad. We are right on the cusp of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill and can't find any decent places to buy inexpensive plants. As we don't have a car, Home Depot is a bit far (although we have gone once by bus) and the local delis are not cutting it. We bought flowers on Fulton and the petals fell off as soon as we unwrapped them.

We are looking for a variety of plants including succulents and a decent place to get flowers regularly.

Thanks for any leads!

sometimes the farmer's market on Saturdays has some plants... more in the spring than now, but I'm sure you could find some mums. There are also cut flowers, and further towards the winter eucalyptus branches that are really nice for indoors (great smell, last a few weeks).

Try Root Stock & Quade on Myrtle between Hall and Washington (I think -- could be between Washington & Waverly).
