Applewood Restaurant

I wouldn't go so far as to say that Applewood sucks, but I'm not going to spend twenty-four bucks for an unlikely combination of ingredients sculpted into a precious little tower with a teaspoon of sauce swirled around it on the plate. C'mon, we're eating here, not going to art class.

    so . . . if you're not going to eat there, how do you know what it's like?

    al di la is our spendy place, but someday someone is going to take me to Applewood and I'll be pretty happy about it.

    it's down the road from where most of the Zipcars are parked...11th or 12th St just west of Seventh Ave.

    It's totally inviting and expensive . . . and I don't think you walk away hungry even if they do designy stuff to the food. They do events there with the Berkshire heritage pig people.
