Hi all,

No doubt this has been covered here time and again, but as a vendor at the Brooklyn Flea, I'm seeing too many dogs tied up outside every Sunday. In the summer, I saw dogs locked in cars on 90 degree days with the windows opened only a crack. Now I see dogs tied to trees, shivering and howling as their owners are shopping for 30 minutes or more.

I'm sure none of you do this and you all know that dog theft is a very real problem in this city. But please pass the word on and let people know they shouldn't leave their dogs unattended for so long. You may get defensive responses as I do, but if it makes them think, so be it.

Thanks.

Excellent advice. I don't understand how people leave a dog tied up for just minutes outside of a store, let alone for that length of time!
