appliance repairs

does anyone know a reliable appliance person? my dishwasher caught on fire at the control panel. (happens a lot more than you think so NEVER leave your dishwasher on when you are not there. it could cost you bigtime).and shot out flames. fortunately, i got to it before it burnt the wiring harness or the house down. i had a guy who was reliable prior to this event, (you never know anymore with anyone do you?)come diagnose it and was supposed to come back weeks ago. time to move on and fix it now as the holidays are coming. thanks for your help. blessings

no. all i need is someone to install and procure a new control panel. any good appliance guy knows this story. its rather common believe it or not. know any repairmen? does sears do repairs? i should check.

You might want to try J&R on 7th Avenue in P.S near Union Street. Not sure if they repair dishwasher (they sell them) but they repaired my DVD player. If they cannot come to repair they might be able to suggest someone. Although I've only gotten one thing repaired there, they do seem honest/straightforward. Good luck!
