Construction at 111 113 Prospect Place

It looks like there should be a DOB permit for the construction at 111 and 113 Prospect Place, but I don't see anything posted. There is also small bits of debris falling on the ground as they replace the windows, so it looks like there should be scaffolding. Anybody know anything about this?

There's nothing on the DOB website for permits (even applied for) since 2004.

When will the snitching stop? Okay, maybe this one needs to be ratted out for safety reasons.

Now you can't even apply for a DOB permit now without first applying and paying for LPC approval first. Those better be windows they find acceptable.

Allow me to answer for you

Looking out for your neighbors is the right and decent thing to do
People who believe in "not snitching" are just punks too afraid to stand up for what is right.

You do NOT need to seek LPC approval for any construction until landmarking is voted on by the LPC. Before that time, all permits that are filed with DOB are forwarded for review by LPC, but the LPC does NOT give approval or require a fee to be paid. As I understand it, that measure of review has been put into place so that LPC could intervene in a worse case scenario - say someone taking down a building before landmarking is in effect.

Replacing windows does not require a DOB permit to begin with.

If it's a landmark building, it needs approval of any exterior alteration from the LPC. Also, it would require a permit if they were modifying the existing openings.

Just to clarify - landmarking is not yet in effect.
