New benches in front of PS 321?

When I was passing by PS 321 during the 7th ave Halloween parade, I noticed some new benches in front of PS 321. How long have those been there?

Can't you count the rings on them to find out? Or, maybe you should carbon date those bitches .. I mean benches.

I really would like to know how long they've been there.. I can't believe people aren't buzzing about this thread yet.

They were put there by the PTA, and they get lots of use

Don't know and really don't care but I saw them and saw people sitting on them. Wonder if the Flea Mkt people like them or if they get in their way.

I think they've been there at least a month. I've never seen anyone sit on them though.

Thank god for the PTA! It's nice to have a place to sit after parking the Maclaren Techno XT.

uh - here's the real explanation, which does not seem to be the point of this thread but I can't help myself. The benches were put up about a month ago, along with the tree pits being widened. 4th and 5th graders at 321 are allowed to eat lunch outside, and with the benches they now have a place to sit besides the ground or the stairs in front of the school.

and now their older brothers and sisters in 9th grade can sit down while they smoke their cigarettes on friday and saturday nights.
