help!! where do i vote?

Here is the dilemma:

I moved to Crown Heights October 1st but I still have some mail coming to my old apartment in Bed-Stuy where I voted last time.

Additionally, my ID is for my old address before that in Prospect Heights where I voted the time before that.

So where on earth am I supposed to vote tomorrow? What if I am not on the rosters? I tried using the website that states your polling place, but if I only moved a month ago and never updated my ID from 2 apartments ago -- how do I make sure my vote counts? Thanks!

Call 1.866.VOTE.NYC and ask them.

Check to make sure, but if you haven't changed your registration since moving, I think you should vote at your old polling place with your old address.

they have some insane high call volume sadly. i figure if i don't get a solid answer, i'm going try my local polling place first then go back to my old neighborhood. Oy.

I don't have a driver's license, just an ID. Didn't know I had to update the address if I stayed in the same county....

Yah, you can have your address updated without getting a new DL or ID card.

Sorry but I am new to this whole voting thing, will my PA driver license do or do I need to bring my passport since the drivers license is out of state? And yes I am registered to vote in New York State at my current address in PHeights. Thanks in advance.

thanks, daver! just double checked and that address change never went through for me !!!!!!!! just read the fine print in my paper copy of the address change - jerks! (at least i know though,right?)

I don't think you have to show any ID in New York City.

You do NOT need to show ANY I.D. to vote in New York. If you didn't change your registration from where you last voted, then you vote at your old place. Doesn't matter if you moved.

Did you try looking up your registration online? That'll tell you where the NYC Board of Elections thainks that you're registered. Save yourself a trip!

New Yorkers who registered to vote for the first time via mail may be asked to provide identification, such as a driver's license, when they arrive at the polls.

government check or other government document that shows the voter's name and address.

brooklynleather -- I'm not sure why you are even going to try the polling site for your new address. It's simple -- if you didn't change your address with the board of elections, there's no way for them to know that you have moved. Vote in Bed-Stuy.

I was going to say the same thing. Don't waste a trip since they have NO idea that you moved.
