People everywhere! Cars honking! People shouting, singing, dancing in the streets! Gunshots fired into the air!! (good 'ole Crown Heights!)

So happy that everyone is so happy!

I could have done without the gunshots, but otherwise I completely agree with your sentiment.

last night was truly incredible.. people's attitudes seem to have already changed for the better and it was inspiring to see everyone come together to celebrate! complete strangers giving high-fives and hugging each other, cheering and honking horns and every one of them with a huge smile on their face (even the cops and cab drivers going by couldn't help but smile and honk).. i have never seen anything like this where everyone was just so HAPPY. and relieved!

Yes, it was unbelievable. It seemed like WWII had ended, or something that great that I've never been a part of.

Too bad I had to wake up to see that gay marriage bans passed in 3 states (including California???), along with a ban on gay adoption in arkansas, and ending affirmative action in Nebraska. Ah well, I guess we can't expect everything to change at once...

the first vid is my fave! check out the youngsters and all races crying hugging, white and black dancing to the afrikan drums in the background.

    this one is good too!

the garbage man slapping everyone high fives is the epitome of what Baracks election meant
