    Seriously, If they have over one million dollars to spend why not renovate a house belonging to a family that does not have anywhere near to that kind of money???

    You people are seriously bitter. Did you even read the article? It doesn't say any thing about putting $1M of their own or anyone else's money into it. These people waited until they are middle aged to buy their home. They are only living in half of it with their 3 kids and renting out the other half. The guy is a designer, not an investment banker.
