Reliable mechanic in/close to Park Slope?

I have an issue with my dashboard lights going out (insert Meatloaf joke here), and haven't been able to fix it myself. A quick hit near the dashboard dimmer switch with the heel of my hand used to do the trick, but I think it's out for good until a professional intervenes.

For any amateur mechanics who want to offer advice instead of a referral, I drive a '98 Nissan Altima (hot ride, I know...ladies, the line forms to the right).

Thanks!

Thank you to the one person who PMed me -- anyone else have any recommendations? Just trying to get a few options before I proceed. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback and the PMs I received. I think I'm going to check out Minh's on 3rd Ave. and 15th St. Seems to be the most often recommended place.

Thanks Puck, I might have to check them out as well. Got some other minor issues with the car I need to get addressed that I've been procrastinating.
