Hi all,

My aunt in on a search for a good babka from a kosher bakery. She is coming to visit next week, and I don't know where to take her. I have googled around, but I don't know what bakeries are good. Anyone have any ideas?

If you dont mind traveling to Williamsburg, Sanders Bakery on the corner of Lee Ave and Penn St should have them still.I grew up down the block and my dad used to get those as well as hot fresh challah breads and rolls at 5 in the morning.Hmmm......such memories.

Chiffon Bakery on Coney Island Ave. between ave J and K. this has been in the neighborhood for at least 50 years and still going strong. Remember that they observe the Sabbath so are not open on Saturday.

Chiffon bakery closed town three weeks ago. Dammit, NOBODY made a better rye bread!
