Halp! I need a facial STAT!

So I had an appt at Elan Salon (Galina, my waxer, is awesome) tonight after work. Alas, sick passenger (better've been sick!) on the Q prevented me from getting there at all!*

I have my HS reunion this Friday and I NEED a facial in ways only my fellow Chicklynians know.

So, help a sista out.

Recommends? It can be in PH, PS, FG, Manhattan (I work in Midtown)....

Obviously, the cheaper the better, but at this point beggers can't be choosers, so give 'em to meh!

Thanks, in advance!

* These are the times when I find I have to get really zen and think about what's really important in life. You know, this person could be [u]dying[/i] in which case I'm a total bitch for getting so irritated at having been "so inconvenienced." I automatically think "food!", "booze!," "cigarettes!," in order to calm the nerves that seem so delicate in times like these. I am weak. I am human.

I called to get a basic facial with extractions and she quoted me $109, so you either got a deal or they've since raised their prices. She was also planning on upselling me by saying, "oh yes, that's a good place to start, then Yoshe can tell you about her blah blah whatever treatment." Eh.

I don't see what was said to you that was bad here? You're making an assumption. You get what you pay for. I'm just saying, Not only myself but my friends are clients there too. Their are not pushy "Up" sellers. Anyway, where do U go for mani/pedi's??

    :)

I am TOTALLY making an assumption based on years of getting all types of treatments from many different places. It's the nature of the beast for many, but I don't personally like it. And I do realize that you "get what you pay for"- believe me, I don't scrimp on personal care- I was just pointing out the fact that it WASN'T $80 as you said.

Anyway- mani/pedis? Eh- depends- if I need quick, I'll go to the place by my office in midtown. If I'm out on the island of Long, I'll go to the place my mom goes to (cause she's buyin'), used to go to Dashing Diva around NYU while I was in school....no place consistent.
