am I crazy, or did I just seem folks wheeling what appeared to be a dead body from the 6th street methodist entrance b/t 7th and 8th avenues into an ambulette??

    Ambulettes only take live passengers.

have you ever ridden in an ambulette , the drivers are totally oblivious to the patients they are transporting. .

Nope, just helped people on and off. I did know some crazy girls from the Hard Rock who convinced an ambulette driver to take them to Brooklyn like a taxi!!!

Sometimes people who OD-ed on drugs look blue and dead but can get saved by the ambulance people.

Wow you may have seen a dead person being taken out of a hospital. Were there any TV crews there to cover this for the news at 11? ;-)

I live across the street from there and recently this crazy drunk homeless guy was stumbling down the street and fell backwards and wacked his head really hard and was out like a light laying on the sidewalk.

Meanwhile a crowd gathered around him and some residents came out of the hospital. Instead of wheeling him 25 feet around the corner to the entrance, everyone just stood around him for about 15 minutes and someone got on their phone and called 911 and an ambulance came and picked him up and took him to another hospital. It was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen - except for how when the ambulance driver pulled up he threw a fast food bag out of the ambulance and onto the sidewalk. That was almost equally lame.

He probably dropped the drunk outside Lutheran Medical, who called for an ambulance ,who picked him up and dropped him outside Brooklyn Hosptial, who called an ambulance and by now the guy is probably in Miami Beach.

Just follow the fast food bags.
