Time Warner internet down?

My internet has been down for hours now, anyone else?

For hours? Did you call Time Warner? Maybe you just need to reboot your modem.

Yes, i have called them and I have plugged and unplugged the modem. Nothing changed.

Did they tell you there was an outage? Maybe it was related to the storm last night? I've got time warner and aside from the occasional hiccups in my cable signal (hd box) it's been smooth sailing. When i had Verizon DSL that shit was a nightmare though. Woof.

May I make a suggestion? Unplug the modem once again, wait one minute before plugging it in again, and then immediately shut down and restart your computer.

That has worked for me on more than one occasion.

Maybe you got a virus that messed with your proxy settings.

They said there were outages in Brooklyn but not in Park Slope. But, they have told me that before and been wrong ! I hate them, they make me want to go back to Verizon.
