Any recommendations for a good place in the neighborhood to go on a first date?

Now that that's out of my system, it all depends on how well you know your date, etc. I think there have been some threads on this before, so use Search, with "first date" as your keywords.

Personally, I recommend Le Gamin, Freddy's Comedy Night (http://www.freddysbackroom.com), the Japanese Garden at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, BAM, and walking around Prospect Park all as good options. Er, not on the same date.

I recommend Aliseo, Beast, or, if you really want to impress your date, Garden Cafe....

Subject: first date

Try Puppets Jazz Bar. I know it's in the slope, but it's really an amazing spot with great jazz and a great vibe. It's on 5th ave. between 1st and 2nd. Your date will love it.
