Brooklyn post cards?

Rather than spending a ton on fancy save-the-date cards for our wedding, we're thinking of sending post cards instead.

Does anyone know of a good source for vintage-y Brooklyn postcards?

In my head, these cards have the Cyclone on the front and I can write something cheesy about "taking the plunge" on the back as part of the save the date message.....

    You know you could also design them yourselves and print them from vistaprint. they usually have the 100 postcard free offer. That's what I did for our save the dates, using a brooklyn bridge photo I found and it turned out great.

    That's a really great idea. I bet they'll turn out really cute.

    So cute. I love when people do nontraditional.

    I have seen some nice vintage looking cards at Lion in the Sun in PS, but I think they were sort of expensive.

    I am sure most of the brooklyn attractions (i.e., Botanical Garden, GAP Library, and Brooklyn Museum ) will have postcards. Also try the Brooklyn Historical Society. I know here in Manhattan the drug stores sell some Brooklyn post cards

    I had posted a response here earlier, but it got deleted... I guess since I included a URL it got pulled? in any case, I'll try one more time, because what you want to do is EXACTLY what I did for my wedding (vintage postcard replicas for save-the-dates) and we got a lot of great feedback on it.

    We did it at a store on 5th ave in Brooklyn called Scaredy Kat. Good luck.

    Who knows if this post will get pulled again... just trying to help.

    I dont think they would have deleted your post. It didn't break any rules. They just switched to a new server and I think they might be having a few kinks - you should PM the admin and let them know in case its something they have to fix. :)

    @Brooklynite03:

    I had a similar problem early last week (posts being randomly deleted)...it seems to have been fixed.

    I will check Scaredy Kat out! Thanks for the tip!!

    Hello there!

    i made my save the dates with custom made stamps and different colored inks. You could get "Brooklyn" stamps made up and by some cool note cards. Good luck!
